|Dr Paul Annett MBSS (HONS.1) FACSP|
Dr Annett graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of NSW in 1994 with 1st Class Honours. He completed his advanced training in Sports Medicine in 2000 and was awarded the College Medal for the Australasian College of Sports Physicians Fellowship examinations, he has been consulting in the Southern area of Sydney for 10 years.
Dr Annett has had significant involvement in different sporting arenas, specifically the NRL, the AIS and working at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in athlete care in the Olympic Village and at Track & Field. He has had involvement with the Sydney Swans AFL in the late 1990′s followed by the Canberra Raiders and the City Origin team; and more recently the team
Physician for the St George Illawarra (2005 – 2010) culminating in the NRL Premiership in 2010. He is currently the team Physician for the Australian Kangaroos.
Academically Dr Annett has published papers in peer reviewed sports medicine journals and has been involved with delivery of Sports Medicine education through the UNSW Masters Sports Medicine Programmes.
Dr Annett has a clinical interest in lower leg overuse syndromes, foot and ankle disorders and both acute and chronic shoulder injuries. he also enjoys managing traumatic injuries particular to contact sports such as Rugby League.
